SOS X, S, V Release Imminent

The final touches are going in to all versions of the ROM. I currently am preparing for a HUGE midterm on Wednesday morning. After that, I am going full steam ahead into the release. If things go as planned, we should have final releases ready soon. If final releases are not prepared in time, Team Swag will strive to release betas by the weekend. This is not a promise… just an expectation 😉

Should I download from the link in XDA or wait for the blog post?

I am currently running SOS 1.9.0.8 with your stick Freedom Kernel. Can I flash SOS X right over? Or do I need to do a complete wipe?

    Thanks!

    • A release is coming very shortly, it WILL require a full version for all SOS users using a version below 2.0.7 (that, sadly, includes you).

      Start makin’ backups folks!!

I’d just like to confirm what a complete wipe means to you. Using my SOS I have DT apps2sd so I have my apps installed on SD. Should I do a complete wipe of my phone PLUS my SD card? And then reinstall everything from scratch onto a totally virgin phone? I don’t mind doing so, if required, but I want to know if it is necessary. Also, can I restore individual apps from my Titanium Backup or is it safe to redownload each app from the Market?

One last thing: Are you including the Underworld Sense Kernel with SOS X (I see you were an alpha tester) or are you sticking with the Freedom Kernel that was with the older SOS?

        Thanks.

      • Not your WHOLE SD card. But the SD-EXT (where your apps are stored) might be a good idea 😉

Thakns for the quick reply. But you missed two of my other questions: 🙂

    1) can I restore individual apps from my Titanium Backup or is it safe to redownload each app from the Market?

    2) Are you including the Underworld Sense Kernel with SOS X (I see you were an alpha tester) or are you sticking with the Freedom Kernel that was with the older SOS?

    Thanks!

    • 1) Of course 🙂 Although, I don’t recommend restoring system apps.

      2) Underworld will be included as a kernel choice during install. Well, I should say it IS included as a kernel choice…
